Recording remotely via Riverside
Your private Riverside.fm session link will be sent to you before the recording. Use this checklist so the technical side is ready before we start.
Before the session
Check the full recording chain.
The aim is simply to know that your computer can see the right microphone and headphones, your connection is stable and your room is suitable for recording.
Test your microphone
Make sure the microphone is recognised by your computer and selected as the input device.
Connect your headphones
Check that sound is coming through the headphones you intend to wear during the recording.
Choose a quiet room
Record somewhere as quiet as possible, away from traffic, appliances, other people and obvious room echo.
Check your internet
Use the most stable connection available so the session can run smoothly.
Join a little early
Open the Riverside link a few minutes before the session so you can allow microphone permissions and confirm the correct audio devices.
