Preparing for your voice reel session
A simple guide to what happens before we record, what you need to prepare and what you can leave to me.
Before your session
You do not need to arrive with everything figured out.
Your recording date and start time will be confirmed personally by email. Once the session is booked, use this page as your practical checklist.
Working scripts
Read them — don’t memorise them
If your reel includes Commercial or Corporate, I’ll prepare your working scripts and send them to you separately by email before the session. You’ll have time to read through them, and they may still change as we work together.
Narrative
Bring material you genuinely connect with
If your package includes Narrative, bring a selection of material that interests you: audiobook or literary extracts, documentary or factual narration, television narration, museum or heritage material, or other longer-form spoken-word work. For published literary material, please choose work that is out of copyright.
On the day
Comfort matters
Bring water and wear comfortable clothing. Avoid obviously rustly fabrics, jangly jewellery or anything else likely to make noise close to the microphone.
